"Looking after your local nature reserve and Green Spaces"
Conserving Whitehill & Bordon’s Green Heart
Volunteering
Joining our Rangers out on the sites is a great way to get involved with the Trust, whilst gaining some fresh air and exercise. You'll also meet new people and spend time in the great outdoors, helping to make our woodlands, heathland and rivers an enjoyable place for us to visit and a thriving habitat for the creatures who live there.
There is no minimum, or maximum, amount of time you have to commit to. We'd love you to join us if it's just a one off spare hour, or a more regular arrangement.
As we are a small team, we are hugely grateful to our army of volunteers.
Rebekah leads the volunteer groups every Monday on practical conservation tasks, meeting at the car park off Conde Way or on site at 11.00am, generally working through to 1.00pm.
Tea/coffee and biscuits are provided!
Please contact the ranger office to register your interest.
We now also have weekend work parties in Bordon Inclosure running on the first Saturday of the month and in Hogmoor Inclosure on the third Saturday and the forth Sunday of the month.
The meeting point for these work parties are the car parks of each Inclosure, starting at 10am and running to 12pm.
Tea/coffee and biscuits are provided!
Please contact the ranger office to register your interest.
Examples of work we do include small tree work, scrub bashing, fencing, footpath maintenance, river clearance and litter picking.
We work in all weathers, provide safety gloves, refreshments, friendly company and a chance to get involved with your local green spaces.
You should wear study boots and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Other Volunteering Opportunities
If you have something else to offer and would like to help the DVT by volunteering, please do get in touch.
We welcome groups from local businesses, who wish to come and spend a few hours helping the Rangers.

We also love to hear from students who are on work
placements or just wish to gain more experience.
If you think there are other ways in which you can help, we would love to hear from you.
